BUILDING OUR WARRUMBUNGLE COMMUNITIES SUCCESS!
One month on! What a phenomenal 10 days of conversations, ideas, work-shopping, inspiration and heartfelt contribution from our Warrumbungle community during the Building Our Warrumbungle Communities (BOWC) series last month!
We, the BOWC team, have caught our breath and are now working on the
next steps:
-
Sharing copies of presentations slides
-
Compiling raw workshop data with communities
-
Assisting formation of core steering groups within each community
-
Compiling video footage of each session for sharing with Community
-
Compiling information for formation of individual Community Action Plans
-
Compiling a summary of identified Shire-wide themes eg. Cycle Tourism, Signage etc
-
Assisting with ongoing community conversations.
As information from the workshops becomes available, it will be updated on this website. Some of the Powerpoint presentations from Peter Kenyon's workshops are here already. See below *.
The positive outcomes are much like “a ripple effect” for Warrumbungle communities and are beginning to be felt and noticed. New initiatives have come to life, conversations are being had - inspired by the many stories and amazing community examples shared by Peter. A feeling of “we care”, “we can” and “we will” is gently rippling through our communities.
Feedback – we would welcome any feedback. If you would like to send us feedback on your BOWC experience, we would love to hear from you, please click here to access our Feedback form.
If you or your group would like assistance with anything moving forward: please reach out, if we can’t help you, we will find someone who can. We look forward to continuing to work together with the wonderful Warrumbungle Communities. Remember Peter’s top tip, “Whatever the issue, community is the answer” and his wise words “Great communities don’t just happen! – They are created, nurtured and sustained by caring, connected and involved residents.”
If you would like to be more involved in your community, let us know and we will help you join in.
